PROJECT MANAGER

Work Location : Office / Project Site Reports to : Project Director

GENERAL WORK DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Driving projects forwards to successful conclusions；

Ensure that project goals, methods and organisations are well defined, communicated and achieved;

Create the plan and timeline for projects;

Monitor and report on progress;

Manage and report on the budget;

Identify and minimise risks;

Identify and secure opportunities;

Obtain the necessary resource to deliver the projects in accordance with the project goals.

WORK TASK

Reporting to the Project Director on project status on a monthly basis;

Ensuring the project management tools for budget, programme and commentaries are accurate and updated on at least a monthly basis, and work with specialist support if available;

Ensuring that a robust EIA and planning application is undertaken in securing consents with relevant consenting authorities;

Identifying and securing necessary grid connection agreements;

Ensuring that an appropriate and robust wind resource process is undertaken;

Ensuring that the projects are developed with due regard for the design process and are cognisant of health, safety and environmental related matters;

Maintain support to the project to COD by assisting the construction teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience of leading and managing wind farm projects during the development phase including activities associated with permitting, land rights, wind resource, site design and grid connections;

Experience of sourcing sites;

Experience of creating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders;

Strong understanding of health and safety responsibilities of developers and the implications of development activities on future construction and operation activities;

Good commercial acumen and sound financial understanding;

Strong sense of integrity;

Excellent communication skills and an ability influence and lead others;

Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads and changes in priorities;

Experience and knowledge of Vietnam cultural;

Experience in large-scale / complex construction projects (e.g. energy, infrastructure);

Experience of working cross-culturally and across global locations;

Procurement experience with industry standard construction contracts (e.g. FIDIC);

Experience in using industry standard construction contracts during project execution phase;

Practical qualifications of a professional standard in science or engineering;

Project Management qualifications are desirable;

University degree (or equal) in business/economics/engineering with approx. 5 years of work experience as Project Manager for wind project;

Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication skills;

Working experience in Asia or Vietnam is desirable.
