Sr. Mechanical Engineer

岗位职责：

1. Design and develop complex electro-thermo-mechanical assemblies for Electric Vehicles and other high power battery applications;

2. Lead, develop and implement battery pack mechanical / thermal / interface designs;

3. Understand and finalize the mechanical design requirements through communication with customers and/or internal project leader or system design engineer;

4. Estimate the effort, plan the tasks and propose the time requirement;

5. Prepare the mechanical design concept and product architectures;

6. Conduct the mechanical design and design analysis according to the design requirements and project timing schedule;

7. Create and maintain all the relevant design draws and supporting documents and reports;

8. Conduct or participate in product mechanical feature test and validation as required according to automotive quality standards;

9. Report progress to project leader and maintain effective communication with external and internal customers as well as other related functional groups;

10. Provide technical support to sourcing group for mechanical or electromechanical parts/components purchase;

11. Study and evaluate new design technologies, tools and methodologies to maintain and raise the team competency;

12. Use DFM/DFA methods and optimize designs for cycle time and cost;

13. Compliance testing and qualification of designs to relevant safety and environmental standards;

14. Specify tooling, fixtures and assembly equipment for use in mass production process;

15. Ramp new technology products into mass production with contract manufacturer;

16. Support the research and product development of lithium-ion batteries and packs;

17. Develop, improve and implement test methods for battery component qualification;

18. Participate in product problem-solving teams;

19. Disciplinary reporting to Mechanical Design Manager or Senior Manager;

任职要求：

1. M.S. Mechanical Engineering, 10+ years of experience; B.A. mechanical engineering, 13+ years of experience;

2. At least 10 years mechanical product design working experience, preferred in automotive industry;

3. Good experience and technical skill in CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, Pro-E);

4. Good understanding on automotive product design and development processes as well as design quality requirements;

5. Experience and knowledge on tooling design a plus;

6. Experienced on Metal Forming, Plastic Injection Molding is preferred;

7. FEA (finite element analysis), Structural Analysis is preferred;

8. Electric Vehicle experience is preferred;

9. Thermal Analysis and Heat Transfer is preferred;

10. Design for Manufacturing and Assembly DFMA is preferred;

11. Fluid Dynamics, CFD is preferred;

12. Ability to resolve issues with minimum direction taking responsibility for quality and timeliness of work;

13. Ability to communicate, both in written form and verbally, analysis and conclusions in a clear concise format;

14. Exhibits constructive, team oriented cooperative attitudes and behaviors that demonstrate respect for partner organizations and colleagues;

15. Fast learner, self-motivated and strong analytical ability;

16. Results driven and customer focus;
